I took an old chair living in my grandmothers backyard and refurbished it so she can sit and enjoy her garden.

NANNY’S THRONE

In her time, my grandmother used to work on the 9th floor at Garfinkel’s in DC. Garfinkel’s was an elite department store like Sak’s but tailored to a certain level of clientele such as government leaders and their wives or assist in some of the greatest high fashion shows as needed. When the department store closed in the 90’s she kept these chairs and many other artifacts and clothing and I wanted to bring this chair back to life and bring more character to her garden.
